Time for some history
Way back in 1911, Frank Mars and his wife, Ethel began making sweets in their kitchen in Tacoma, USA. Now, almost 100 years later, Mars Incorporated has grown from those humble roots into the global giant we recognise today with an annual global turnover of $30 billion, generated by some 70,000 Associates working in over 100 countries across five continents.
Associates – more than just a name for our people
Throughout, we haven’t forgotten that it’s our people who have got us where we are. Or rather, our Associates – the word we use when we’re talking about our people. The Associate concept defines the way we work, and has become a way of life here at Mars. Every Associate has the freedom to shape their job, and as a result, take responsibility for our continued success. Put simply, as we profit so do our Associates.
