Mars, Incorporated took part in the biggest Russian canine event of the year: “Eurasia-2017”, the international dog show that was held in Moscow on March 16-19. Mars super premium pet nutrition line was represented by two brands – Royal Canin and Eukanuba.
“Participation in such professional events as Eurasia is the great opportunity for us not only to show new healthy dog nutrition but also to obtain the unique experience of communication with experts. It is only the breeder who can suggest the direction of improvement to the pet food manufacturer” - Svetlana Obruchkova, General Manager at Royal Canin Russia, commented.
“It is a great privilege for us to have experts as partners and we feel it our duty to support them via special programs and campaigns that will allow breeds to achieve high results in breeding and show activities including due to the healthy pet food that takes into account individual needs of pets” Svetlana Obruchkova also mentioned.
At first time, the casting to the “Eukanuba Champion School” was organized. As a result, 8 breeders were selected. Altogether, 206 applications were submitted. The project was initiated by the company to promote participance in all-Russian pedigree dog shows. The School first opened its doors in 2016, at the eve of World Dog Show-2016.
“Ordinary dog owners often want their pets to take part in shows but they don't know how to do it, how to start. Our School is opened for these very breeders. We want to help our students to fulfill their natural potential, and to help their owners to understand the process of preparation for a show, - Elena Tokareva, Senior Brand Manager in Eukanuba, mentioned at the press conference on the occasion of the show's opening.
During WDS-2016 the company was able to show, using examples of individual pets and their masters, that the right nutrition, trainings and the adequate care may help the dog to become a real Champion. Almost all participants of the School obtained high grades: six dogs were included in the short list and took places in the ranking; four dogs won official titles.
In 2017, the participants will have even more intensive program that includes selection of the right Eukanuba® diet and classes in the special equipped hall with handlers. Dogs and their owners will be taught how to behave on a ring and to look great.
The study, training and participants in intermediate shows will take place since April to the mid-November. The final of the project will be on the show “Russia-2017” at the mid-November, 2017.
