Time for some history
In the beginning, there was only Frank Mars and his wife, Ethel, making candy together in their kitchen in Tacoma, USA back in 1911. Little did they know that nearly 100 years later, Mars Incorporated would be a global player in snackfood, petfood & food products, drinks vending systems and chewing gum. We’re talking annual global turnover of $30 billion generated by 65,000 associates working in 75 countries on five continents.
The trust in our associates defines the way we do business at Mars. The Five Principles guide our associates in their decisions and enable each and every one of them to truly make a difference while seeking out new paths forward. Everyone takes full responsibility for the business, and in return gets the freedom and support to challenge the status quo, think differently and do the things normal convention wouldn’t allow. This approach has enabled Mars to grow from a small family firm into a global enterprise, yet remain in family ownership.
This is a success story we intend to continue long into the future. Perhaps even with you? If you are interested in helping us write the next chapter of the Mars success story, then Mars could be exactly the right employer for you. You may find yourself influencing our growth strategy, building a new production line or helping us form business relationships worth millions. Whatever you find yourself working on, you can be sure that we’ll provide you with all the support, freedom and responsibility you need to optimise your development in our unique working environment.
With our outstanding career opportunities, world famous brands and a working atmosphere shaped by our Five Principles, there is no telling how far you'll go. Now is the time to discover what you and Mars can achieve together.
It’s time to begin writing your own story.
Freedom takes courage. We take the courageous.
Mars Scandinavia is exceptional in many ways. In addition to working with a portfolio of the world's best known and trusted brands in three categories; Chocolate, Petcare and Food, you get to work with a group of engaged and likeminded colleagues (at Mars employees are called associates to emphasize the sense of equality we share). The working environment is characterized by a professional organisation, but also an informal one where results, dedication and teamwork weighs more than our dresscode.
We invest great amounts of time and money in ongoing education, training and improvement of our joint competencies, as we believe this is a cornerstone of any great career and see it as our obligation to provide the best possible opportunities for our associates.
Mars Scandinavia (Mars Denmark) is among the 50 best places to work, as the latest 'Great Place to Work' survey revealed in November 2009. We are proud to be this high on the list, but it is a clear goall to keep climbing and one day enter the top-10.
Mars Scandinavia employs 150 dedicated associates in a range of functions, including marketing, sales, category management, finance, commercial, consumer care, logistics, IT and HR.
