The Quality of our products
Quality is the first of our Five Principles. "The consumer is our boss, quality is our work and value for money is our goal."
These simple words guide our approach and help us create products that satisfy our consumers and comply with the most stringent food safety standards. Our mission is to understand our consumers’ needs and to always attain excellence in the products we provide them, in terms of both quality and value.

When we design our products, we seek to understand all the factors that affect their quality and safety. This helps us implement manufacturing processes that comply with our clients’ expectations.

The MARS Quality Management Process (QMP) is a quality management procedure applying to every link in our production and distribution chain: ingredient sourcing, manufacturing processes, distribution, retailing and verification of consumer satisfaction. We compare our results to the best international standards and practices in terms of food quality and safety. We also check regularly that the QMP is properly implemented, thanks to various internal and external audits. The cornerstone of our QMP is Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), a food safety approach that manages every safety issue in the production process. Constant improvement forms the basis of QMP at Mars. We seek to always improve our levels of quality and learn to work more efficiently.

All our associates are committed to product quality. We support their passion by providing the technical skills that ensure excellence. This strengthens everyone’s sense of responsibility in their work and towards consumers. Passion for our consumers, passion for our products and the implementation of an effective procedure of quality management form the basis of our compliance with the first of our Five Principles: Quality.

Each grain of Uncle Ben's® rice undergoes 250 controls, from its growing to its marketing. That's why we can guarantee only 2 black or broken grains for 100,000 grains !
