Wrigley Gum & Confection
Wrigley, the global chewing gum leader, is one of the world’s biggest confectionery companies, operating in 40 countries and retailing in more than 180.

The company was founded in Chicago in 1891 by William Wrigley Jr. and has been led by four generations of the Wrigley family. The company makes some of the world’s most famous treats, such as Juicy Fruit®, Wrigley’s Spearmint®, and Altoids®. Included into Mars, Inc. in October 2008, the company is run out of its head office in Chicago.

Wrigley arrived in France in 1967 when it opened a plant in Biesheim (Alsace) making products for the French and European market. The site’s many certifications are another demonstration of the permanent quest for higher quality that has made Wrigley brands famous.
Since 1987, Wrigley sells the first sugar-free gum in France, Freedent®. Many innovative products have appeared in shop displays since to offer consumers new benefits and sensations.

Wrigley now markets five brands in France: Freedent®, Airwaves®, 5®, Skittles® and Hubba Bubba®.
