(August 20, 2009) – Mars Snackfood US announced today that it will return for its fifth consecutive year as the official chocolate sponsor of the 61st Primetime Emmy® Awards Governors Ball, with its DOVE® Chocolate and FLING™ Chocolate brands. DOVE® Chocolate, a silky smooth, decadent treat, and FLING™ Chocolate, the shimmering, indulgent, new chocolate truffle treat, will serve as the exclusive chocolate sponsors and provide product for all Primetime Emmy® events, including the Governors Ball, Creative Arts Awards and Performers Nominee Reception.

DOVE® Chocolate and FLING™ Chocolate will provide delectable treats for guests at the Governors Ball, the star-studded Primetime Emmys® after party, in the form of a keepsake table favor full of FLING™ Chocolate sticks and DOVE® PROMISES®. The favor, a square linen fabric box with an Asian-inspired gold tassel – a nod to this year’s theme inspired by the artist Tony Duquette – will be filled with FLING™ Milk, Dark and Hazelnut Chocolate and DOVE® Milk, Dark and Caramel PROMISES®. The keepsake will serve as a reminder to guests to indulge with delicious chocolate that evening and after.
FLING™ Chocolate will also encourage attendees at the Governors Ball to be naughty but not that naughty™ with FLING™ male models in pink formal attire sampling FLING™ Chocolate products and interacting with celebrity and VIP guests.
