Pedigree celebrates the first anniversary of the Pedigree Adoption Drive, the Social Responsibility Project of the brand, at the same time that it reaches a milestone: 1000 dogs adopted.

Because it is possible to change the life of an abandoned dog, Pedigree Adoption Drive commemorates with great satisfaction this achievement, because now 1000 tails are wagging with happiness for having found a new home and a new family.

Along with the celebrations, there is a “snout” poking through in the 2009 Adoption Drive: Dalila. The icon of the campaign catches the attention of her adoption family with her gentle eyes, which truly symbolize the essence and magic of this mission.

The brand made known, with the completion of the 1000 adoptions, the renewal of the brand site - www.pedigree.pt - where visitors could find testimonials of the adoptions and commentaries that describe how the new member enriched the life of the new family.

On the web site, visitors could also find information about the 25 adoption institutions, which are partners of the Pedigree Adoption Drive, and details about the dogs that are waiting to be adopted and to find a new home.

Overall, Ana Silva, Brand Manager of Pedigree Adoption Drive, said: "The mark achieved (1000 dogs adopted) is only the beginning of our work. Pedigree wants to give more strength to the brand’s claim "One Dog, One Home", in order to help the abandoned dogs that are in national kennels, and to encourage responsible pet ownership. The Pedigree Social Responsibility Project intends to continue to help other dogs to find a new family and a new home".
