Wrigley’s Bottle Pack Reduces Impacts

First launched in China in 2004, Wrigley’s bottle pack uses about 20 percent less packaging material by weight per piece of gum.

First launched in China in 2004, Wrigley’s bottle pack uses about 20 percent less packaging material by weight per piece of gum, compared with blister packages that encase each piece of gum in a plastic and foil sheet.

In 2008, Wrigley re-engineered the recyclable bottle to further reduce its impact, decreasing the amount of plastic used by 50 percent and the overall bottle weight by more than 25 percent. From 2009 to 2010, we introduced the lighter bottle across our gum brands worldwide.

The patented bottle pack design is Wrigley’s fastest-growing packaging system around the world.
