Rewarding your commitment
There are all kinds of reasons why people decide they want to join Mars. Obviously, financial rewards are an enticing incentive. But look beyond our highly competitive salaries for a few seconds, and you’ll find there are plenty more fantastic benefits to discover.
Rewards to suit you
We’ve already mentioned the unique levels of freedom and autonomy you’ll enjoy here, as well as the excellent training, learning and development we can offer. The truth is, different things motivate different people. That’s why we’ve created Total Rewards - an outstanding benefits package devised to reflect your unique contribution and lifestyle needs.
There are obvious things such as our contributory pension scheme in which we’ll match up to 18% of an Associate’s annual salary in contributions. Beyond this there are less-expected perks such as bonuses and service-related awards. Indeed, Total Rewards is as much about the benefits you don’t see as the ones you do and here’s a quick rundown on a few of them:
Looking after our Associates is one of our main priorities here at Mars. In order to do so, we’ve set up a number of health and welfare services, such as the Occupational Health Service, and a dedicated Associate helpline. These are here to help ensure your general wellbeing. We’re also able to provide a lot of sport facility.
The added freedom our Associates enjoy extends to outside of the workplace too, thanks to our very competitive holiday allowance. What's more, if you dont't end up taking all of your holiday, we'll give you the chance to exchange some of your left over days for cash.
We really are all about freedom and flexibility – and not just when it comes to letting you make decisions and have a say in how we work. Our flexible working arrangements are genuine proof of this. They’ll help us help you achieve a work/life balance that suits you, wherever possible.
Rewarding your commitment
Looking after the planet is something we’re all responsible for. And we’ve been thinking about the world around us long before corporate responsibility became fashionable. Sustainability in the resources that we use, the emissions and waste we produce, and also the local community projects we support are all extremely important to us.
What’s more, we’ve a range of practical programmes in our factories and offices to reduce packaging and improve our carbon footprint. And we’ll encourage you to get involved in all these initiatives, so that you can feel safe in the knowledge you’re safeguarding the world for generations to come.
