Pedigree® Adoption Drive features new donation system

– This year, every registered pet shelter gets a share of donations of up to HUF 12 million including Pedigree® contribution

The fourth Pedigree® Adoption Drive has a new donation system to help shelter dogs. The campaign gives every animal lover an opportunity to support their favourite pet shelters and Pedigree® will match donations with up to HUF 6 million for the year. This way, the amount of donations may total HUF 12 million. Donations can be made throughout the year via the Facebook club set up for the initiative with nearly 22,000 members. The first week saw more than HUF 400,000 raised through animal lovers’ contributions and Pedigree® fund matching. This year again, actress Barbara Hegyi will be the ambassador of the campaign.

Mars Hungary donates HUF 1,600,000 to National Ambulance Service

The donation was presented to Mihály Túri, Chief Ambulance Officer of Csongrád county, at the health day of the company in Csongrád-Bokros

On 21 April, Saturday, Mars Hungary organised a health day for the staff of its pet food plant at Csongrád-Bokros offering associates an opportunity to play sports and games. At the event, the company presented a donation of nearly HUF 2 million to the National Ambulance Service.

Mars is European Business Awards for the Environment finalist

Mars Hungary has been selected to the finals in the “Process” category of the EU Business Awards for the Environment programme with the thermal water-based heating refurbishment project of its pet food plant in Csongrád-Bokros. Together with other finalists, it will participate in the programme’s European finals in March. The Hungarian Jury for the EU Environmental Awards granted Mars a certificate in recognition of its European-level achievement which was presented to the company  by Dr. Andor Nagy, Vice President of the Parliamentary Committee on Sustainable Development, on 23 January 2012.

For the first time this year, both companies of Mars Hungary have won the Best Employer award of Aon Hewitt in the production and FMCG categories. In addition to employee engagement, this year’s survey focused on attractive employer image, credible and skilled management, performance-oriented culture and sustainability as key measurement criteria.
