Mars and seven other leading Hungarian companies establish national platform for the self-regulation of food advertising
Mars and seven other leading Hungarian companies established a national platform for the EU Pledge, a commitment to the self-regulation of food advertising to children, in the presence of Annamária Szalai, President of the Hungarian Media and Infocommunications Authority. The companies signing the agreement made a commitment not to advertise their products to media audiences where the ratio of children younger than 12 is more than 35%. Mars put a stringent self-regulatory system in place already in 2006 which has now been made formal by joining the new platform.
