The truth is, different things motivate different people. That’s why we’ve created Total Rewards - an outstanding benefits package devised to reflect your unique contribution and lifestyle needs.
There are obvious things such as our contributory pension scheme in which we’ll match up to 18% of an Associate’s annual salary in contributions. Beyond this there are less-expected perks such as bonuses and service-related awards. Indeed, Total Rewards is as much about the benefits you don’t see as the ones you do and here’s a quick rundown on a few of them:
Recognition
We’re committed to keeping every one of our Associates happy and engaged with their career at Mars. But how do we make sure we go about it in the right way? Quite simple really – we use feedback gathered from our annual survey and ask Associates to participate in local action planning. We also offer reward and recognition programmes to highlight our Associates' part in our success. Be it individual recognition for significant contributions, or Service Awards to recognise contributions to Mars over time, you can be sure your efforts won’t go unnoticed at Mars.
Healthcare
Looking after our Associates is one of our main priorities here at Mars. In order to do so, we’ve set up a number of health and welfare services, such as the Occupational Health Service, and a dedicated Associate helpline. These are here to help ensure your general wellbeing. We’re also able to provide private health insurance, disability cover (depending on your eligibility), and life assurance for all our Associates. These are there to help you general wellbeing.
Holidays
The added freedom our Associates enjoy extends to outside of the workplace too, thanks to our very competitive holiday allowance. What’s more, if you don’t end up taking all of your holiday, we’ll give you the chance to exchange some of your left over days for cash.

The environment
