This year, on February 12, Mars Portugal launched the Mars Volunteer Program (MVP), a volunteer program that aims to support housing associations and given per day dozens of animals.
Under the theme, Animal Welfare, members of the Mars Portugal headed to the heart of the Algarve to help with the rehabilitation of LAPS - Lagos Animal Protection Society, an association that fights against the lack of conditions for many years. Despite inclement weather, members fulfilled their mission living up to the motto "We are the animals."
With commitment and dedication to the cause, members split into teams, doing remodeling work on the kennel and cattery, and actions to clean up the land for the animals.
This program complements the mission Pedigree Adoption Project, a project in business for two years whose mission is to meet the conditions for the thousands of abandoned dogs and cats are adopted in Portugal.
MVP is a highly successful project worldwide through which the members have the opportunity to make a difference by helping the community.
