Wrigley SiG champions are leading efforts toward our zero waste commitment. Supported by Go Green teams, who educate our Associates on site-specific recycling and waste management practices, Wrigley sites are achieving great results. For example:
- In Chattanooga, Tennessee, U.S., our site has boosted recycling to 96 percent and reduced waste to landfill by 83 percent in the last four years.
- In Scoresby, Australia, the Go Green team introduced a one-stop waste management solution for everything from plastics to food waste, resulting in 70 percent less waste going to landfill.
- At Wrigley’s Global Innovation Center in Chicago, we divert an average of 1,900 pounds of organic material per month from landfill through composting. This includes food waste from the cafeteria along with compostable cups, plates and utensils and even plant and tree clippings from our indoor Winter Garden.
