Eric Minvielle brings considerable global experience across all segments to his role as the Vice President of People and Organization (P&O) at Mars. He is a member of the Mars Leadership Team, reporting to Poul Weihrauch, CEO and Office of the President. Eric first joined Mars in 1984 as a Petcare Sales Associate in France and served in several sales management roles before taking on his first P&O assignment in 1991. His career in P&O continued in France, Europe, South Africa, the Middle East, and even a stint in Australia. He served as the head of the function for France and southern Europe across all segments. In 2002, he moved into general management and held roles of increasing responsibility in Petcare as the European Director for Care & Treats and Regional President for the Americas at Royal Canin. In 2007, he became Staff Officer responsible for all segments across Russia, Africa/India/Middle East and Europe. Most recently, he served as Vice President P&O for the global Chocolate business.

Eric has worked on all continents, across all segments, and played central roles in several Mars acquisitions. He has a deep understanding of the company and is strongly committed to the Mars core values, embodied by our Five Principles.  

Eric has a proven record for leading through change and transformation, recognizing the complex and diverse needs of a truly global enterprise. He is dedicated to bringing out the best in everyone, wherever they work, and truly believes that the success of a business comes down to its people.   

Eric sees HR as a key component of the business strategy, and he has a passion for growing and developing very diverse talent. His goal is to make Mars a great place to work where everyone can be their true selves and do their very best.  

The world is moving faster, and he wants to build the capabilities needed for the future. This is in service of the Mars purpose: “The world we want tomorrow starts with how we do business today.” 

Eric lives with his wife, Sylvie, in McLean, VA. They have four children, and are about to welcome their tenth grandchild. Their family includes shih tzu Dipsy and schnauzer Fulham.
