Three more dog parks to be open in Rostov-on Don

On the New Year Eve, three new dog parks were opened in Rostov-on-Donwithin the project called ‘City For Those Who Make Us Better’. They are located in Zheleznodorozhny, Sovetsky and Voroshilovsky districts.

The project is implemented by Mars Petcare with support of the Administration of Rostov-on-Don and the Investment Development Agency of the Rostov Region. It aims at promotion of the responsible pet ownership by means of improvement of the city environment.

“We see that the initiative is in demand by citizens of Rostov-on-Don, which means that it has a potential for future extension, in other regions as well. We are grateful for the support provided by the city representatives during the year. The implementation of such social initiatives is possible only due to joint effort”, Ekaterina Praslova, Leader of the “City For Those Who Make Us Better” project team, Mars Petcare.

First dog parks (two located in Rostov-on-Don, and one in Aksai) were put in operation this autumn. Three more have been added: in Stachki avenue, in the public gardens named after the city of Dortmund and in Komarov boulevard. The size of the dog runs vary from 400 to 1400 sq. meters. They are fenced and equipped with all necessary facilities for walking a pet.

According to the company’s information, four of the six dog parks have been built from the ground up, others have been repaired, additionally equipped with sports facilities for training and with cleaning facilities (litter bins with packs).

The “City For Those Who Make Us Better” ecological and social project is developing together with a big industrial project of the company. In October 2017, Mars Petcare factory was opened in the Aksai district. It is one of the most modern and ecologically friendly production facilities of the company in the world, and the largest in the south of Russia in the industry.
