Mars is Named #2 Best Workplace in Europe for 2018 | Mars Incorporated
Mars News

We’re entirely honored to be named one of the top places to work in Europe, but we’re not terribly surprised. Why? Because to qualify for the ranking, a company must be recognized as great workplace in at least three European countries. And we’re among the 25 Best Multinational Workplaces in no fewer than twelve European countries: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands and the UK.

During the award ceremony in Athens, Greece, the Great Place to Work® Institute recognized us for our commitment to training and development, with programs like the Mars Volunteer Program and especially the pride our Associates expressed in the Institute’s survey.

While culture, joy and sense of purpose are some of reasons Associates ranked Mars among the best places to work in Europe, one Associate added “working for Mars is far more than just a job – it’s about working with kind and supportive people. Mars challenges me to go above and beyond and rewards us with far more than just pay and benefits.”

Senior European leaders accepted the award, praising Mars Associates throughout Europe. “This achievement is a testament to the tremendous efforts of individual markets around Europe that  continue to embrace our unique approach to business based on our commitment to the Five Principles,” said Elenise Zanette, Vice President, People & Organization for Mars Wrigley Confectionery in Europe and Russia.

Michael Ryan, President of our Multisales (multi category sales markets) in European and African regions, added “Associates have always been at the heart of everything we do at Mars and have helped us to create a unique culture that has seen us regularly on Great Place to Work® lists around the world.”

Kudos to our Mars Europe Associates for making us a great place to work!
