The launch of our #PledgeForPlanet initiative marks another milestone in our ongoing work to tackle the impacts of climate change.
Mars Associates around the world can receive off-the-record, confidential assistance with any work-related matter, all thanks to a program started by Victoria Mars, a member of our board, more than 20 years ago.
Today, Mars was once again named on the World’s Best Workplaces list by Great Place To Work. Eric Minvielle, Vice President, People & Organization, thanked Associates for their hard work, dedication and commitment to taking everyday actions toward the world we want tomorrow.
Our Associates are proud to volunteer in many ways around the world. From a local farmers market in the United States to serving hundreds of Iftar meals in Dubai, we live our purpose in the office and beyond.
For more than 100 years, we’ve understood that a business can only be successful if it also enables all of its partners, community and the environment to thrive. It resonates strongly for us here at Mars where mutuality—creating enduring benefits which are shared—is a core principle.
This is also a principle at the heart of a new coalition which we are proud to be joining.
Jessica Mason captained her university’s triathlon club, where she developed a passion for motivating people. Now a project engineer at the Mars Food factory in King’s Lynn, England, she continues to put this skill to use to encourage more young women to follow in her footsteps and pursue a STEM program.
A two-year backpacking trek around the globe did far more than show Associate Frank Hanisch the scenery. The trip, which Frank took before joining Mars Petcare in Germany in 2013, also opened his eyes to the challenges people face and inspired him to make a difference.
At times throughout her career, Strategic Demand Director Emma Lyons was the only female leader in the room. She’s happy that’s not the case at Mars Australia.
In a LinkedIn blog post, this Mars Wrigley Associate shares her thoughts on gender balance and women leaders. Having spent the majority of her career working in sales for some of Australia’s biggest brands in the fast-moving consumer goods category, she has firsthand experience working in one of the more male-dominated careers, and has been pleased to witness progress in terms of gender balance.
