What do I need to know?

  • We aim to close applications on 26th January 2018 but may close individual roles earlier if we fill them. So apply early!
  • Our Industrial Placements start on 18th June 2018 and last for 12 months.
  • In return for your hard work and commitment, you will receive a competitive salary of £18,500/annum pro rata plus £200 relocation bonus.
  • You will have a strong support network consisting of your line manager, a buddy, a mentor and your fellow industrial placement community.
  • You will receive fantastic opportunities for development whether that be your functional responsibilities, your Personal Development Plan, or your industrial placement Community project.
  • During your placement, we will work with you to consider your future career opportunities at Mars for when you have finished your studies.

Culinary Innovation - R&D Innovation Centre: Slough (Berkshire)

A fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated student to join our Culinary Innovation Team based in Slough. You'll be using your culinary skills and natural creative flair to propose and develop chocolate confectionery products and components on brands including Galaxy(r), Maltesers(r) and Mars(r). You'll also be developing essential business skills by interacting across the business to make decisions and solve real challenges that will fuel our future growth. To apply for this placement, you must be following a Degree or NVQ3 programme with elements of Culinary arts, Patisserie, or Food science.

Supply Chain

Continuous Improvement Technician: Birstall (near Leeds, West Yorkshire)

We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join us in our CI team for a 12 month placement. This role is important in the transformation of our Birstall site to a world class manufacturing plant. The successful placement student will work within our manufacturing environment and support activities to increase our efficiency. To apply for this role, you must be studying for an Engineering / Manufacturing / Financial or Business degree and should have theory level knowledge of Lean tools and techniques. Successful applicants will be willing to work in a factory environment for up to 12h a day, mainly on feet observing manufacturing activities. Will also require office / desk based activity.
