Responsible Marketing and Our Marketing Code
Our Mars Marketing Code, first adopted in 2008, outlines our commitments to market our brands responsibly and in line our Mars Purpose and The Five Principles.
As well as adhering to all statutory requirements applicable in the markets where we operate, we follow several self-regulatory industry initiatives, including the International Chamber of Commerce’s Advertising and Marketing Communications Code.
The Mars Marketing Code applies to all our business segments globally and to the production, content, and placement of all forms of marketing communications created and licensed by Mars, Incorporated across all channels, without exception.
We believe in providing transparency about our compliance both internally and externally. Since 2018, we have been publishing an annual Governance Report that tracks our progress in implementing our Mars Marketing Code, based on third-party audit data.
