Mars Food & Nutrition UK celebrates green rating in final Peas Please Progress Report
31st December 2023, London – Mars Food & Nutrition UK, a founding pledger of the Peas Please initiative, is proud to announce that it has been awarded a green rating for its commitment to promoting vegetable consumption in the UK. The Food Foundation's final Peas Please Progress Report for 2023 has recognized Mars Food & Nutrition's efforts with the highest possible rating for both overall progress and portion progress, the latter of which Mars is the only manufacturer to achieve.
Since its inception in 2019, the Peas Please initiative has aimed to address the lack of vegetables in UK diets. Mars Food & Nutrition has been at the forefront, encouraging increased vegetable intake through its products, packaging, online recipe inspiration, social communications, and Associate canteens.
