Mars Confirms Safety of Official M&M’S® Packaging Amid Limited Recall of Repackaged Candies
Consumers can be confident that all officially packaged M&M’S products produced by Mars meet FDA labeling and food safety requirements and remain safe to enjoy. Food safety, quality, and accurate labeling remain top priorities for Mars, and we are committed to maintaining the trust consumers place in our brands. We would like to assure you that M&M’S that came in any of our traditional retail packaging sizes are safe to eat and properly labeled with the correct allergen warning. Currently and to the company’s best knowledge, no M&M’S in any Mars retail packaging are involved in any active FDA recalls in the US market.
We are aware that a company called Beacon Promotions may have conducted a limited recall of 1.3 oz candies that contain cross-promotional packaging. Allergen sensitive consumers who have M&M'S in packaging with another company’s name or logo should discard those products out of an abundance of caution.
