Building a Global Approach with Renewable Energy

Renewable Energy

In response to the UN’s call to triple global renewable energy capacity by 2030, we’re accelerating the transition to renewable energy.
Our global strategy brings the electricity used across our entire value chain, around 8–9 terawatt-hours (TWh), into the renewable energy market.

By using our scale to bring electricity demand linked to our business to the market through long-term commitments, we can help accelerate the shift to cleaner power across the wider system, not just within our own operations.

From farms and factories to delivery trucks and homes, this approach helps decarbonize every stage of how Mars products are made, moved and enjoyed, from Ben’s Original™ to SNICKERS® Ice Cream and BANFIELD™ veterinary care.

Together, these efforts could cut an estimated 3 million tonnes of carbon emissions, around 10% of our total footprint, helping build a cleaner, more resilient future for people, pets and the planet.
