MARI (the Mars Advanced Research Institute) has announced a multi-year agreement with our AI partner, PIPA. One aim of our collaboration is to speed the discovery of new plant-based ingredients.
MARI is using PIPA’s AI platform LEAP™ to unlock new discoveries allowing Mars to develop products that meet growing consumer demand for healthier foods, beverages and dietary supplements.
LEAP™ combines AI, knowledge graphs and bioinformatics, highlighting links between food, compounds, microbes, and health states. Using LEAP™ will help Mars Associates accelerate discovery, and unlock insights hidden in the complexity of biology.
This collaboration is a great example of how MARI is sparking new innovations through collaboration. Our work with PIPA means we can put AI at the center of our research on food, nutrition and health that will help Mars improve the lives of people and their pets.
