Bangkok, Thailand/ Singapore, Singapore (September 18, 2026) – Mars, Incorporated today officially inaugurated its first Pringles® manufacturing facility in Thailand, and marked the launch of the plant’s second production line, expanding production capacity to meet growing demand across the region. Following an investment of more than THB 7 billion, the milestone reinforces Mars’ long-term commitment to Thailand as a strategic manufacturing and export base. Located in Chonburi within Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor, the 73,800 sqm facility began operations in late 2025 and already supplies Pringles® to India, Hong Kong and Taiwan, with additional markets planned over time. The plant has created more than 170 direct jobs during its start-up phase and supports Thailand’s wider manufacturing ecosystem, with close to 50% of procurement spend directed to local suppliers.
The official opening ceremony was attended by key local government officials including Director Anin Meksuksai, Foreign Investment Marketing Division, Thailand Board of Investment, Mars Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) leaders, Associates and external partners. The event recognized the people and partnerships behind the facility ‘s development and its role in strengthening local employment, skills development, supplier collaboration and exports from Thailand to regional markets.
From Groundbreaking to Growth – Investing in Thailand’s future
The Chonburi plant builds on Mars’ confidence in Thailand’s infrastructure, talent and regional connectivity. Since breaking ground in October 2023, it has developed into a hub that supports the regional growth of Pringles® and strengthens Thailand’s role in Mars’ supply network.

With the expansion of the Chonburi facility, Mars continues to invest in local talent, manufacturing capabilities and supplier partnerships. Close to 50% of the plant’s total spend is already with local suppliers, underscoring Mars’ commitment to sourcing locally where possible and extending the facility’s economic contribution across Thailand.
Through collaboration with government, industry partners and local communities, Mars aims to create a ripple effect extending beyond production to jobs, skills, supplier development and shared economic value. The facility also reflects Mars' commitment to building an inclusive and future-ready workforce, with women representing approximately 50% of leadership positions at the site and the broader workforce approaching gender balance.

The facility will supply Pringles® across the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. With its second production line now operational, the plant is expanding its capacity beyond the markets it already supplies, including India, Hong Kong and Taiwan. A third production line is planned for end 2027, supporting the facility’s longer-term role as a manufacturing hub serving markets beyond the region.
The facility’s location and expanded production capabilities will strengthen the regional supply network and improve responsiveness to market demand. The plant will also support a diverse portfolio of Pringles® products tailored to consumer preferences across different markets.
As a fully digitalized smart manufacturing facility, the Chonburi plant integrates advanced manufacturing capabilities with world-class food safety and quality systems. Digital dashboards provide real-time monitoring of production lines, while continuous equipment-performance tracking and data-driven decision-making help optimize uptime, productivity and operational efficiency.
Sustainability considerations have also been incorporated into the facility’s operations through energy-efficient manufacturing technologies, wastewater treatment, and waste reduction, recycling and resource recovery processes. The facility monitors energy, water, waste and emissions performance to identify opportunities for continued operational improvement.
Situated on a total site area of 208,000 sqm, the Chonburi facility provides the capacity and foundation to support Mars’ long-term growth ambitions and evolving demand across AMEA.
With the second production line becoming operational in September 2026 and a third planned for end 2027, the facility is entering its next phase of growth. The site will play an increasingly important role in Pringles®’ regional manufacturing network and Mars’ broader growth ambitions across AMEA and beyond.
