Supporting hurricane relief efforts in the United States

Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the recent hurricanes in the United States. We are thankful for the safety of our Associates and grateful for the first responders working around the clock to serve those in need.

Every day, and especially in the wake of a disaster, we are focused on improving the wellbeing of families and creating a better world for pets. In response to Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, we quickly mobilized several disaster response initiatives to aid the recovery of people and pets across the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic United States, including:

  • Contributing monetary donations to non-profit organizations, including The American Red Cross, World Central Kitchen, Feeding America, and American Humane.
  • Distributing in-kind human and pet food product donations from our Ben’s OriginalTM, KIND Snacks, Nature’s Bakery, Royal Canin, PEDIGREE®, and BUCKEYETM Nutrition brands, among others.
  • Sponsoring the deployment of Search and Rescue Dog Teams through an ongoing partnership with the Los Angeles County Fire Department Urban Search and Rescue Team.
  • Providing veterinary care, health supplies and equipment, and support to affected pets and their owners.

Our Mars Wrigley Foundation and PEDIGREE Foundation have both made additional donations to support hurricane relief efforts, with PEDIGREE Foundation also providing localized disaster relief grants. Additionally, Banfield Foundation, VCA Charities and BluePearl Cares – all 501c3 public charities – are providing disaster relief grants as well as supporting the deployment of veterinary teams to help impacted local shelters and communities. The Better Together Fund, a 501c3 public charity designed to help Mars Veterinary Health Associates support one another, is also providing grants to Associates and their families impacted by the storms.

We will continue to assess ongoing support needs on the long road to recovery.
