In the U.S., our biggest market, where 94% of products are proudly made at home
For more than a century, Mars has been proudly headquartered and operating in the U.S. As a privately held, family-owned business, we take a generational view, guided by our Purpose: the world we want tomorrow starts with how we do business today. In the U.S., Mars makes more than 40 much-loved snacking, food and petcare brands and employs over 80,000 Associates. We also operate 53 factories, research labs and offices in addition to over 2,000 veterinary clinics and hospitals.
A rich legacy of American consumer brand innovation
Our journey began when Frank C. Mars started selling candy from his Tacoma, Washington, kitchen in 1911. From those humble family origins, we have evolved with America in both exceptional and everyday moments, whether it’s M&M’S® becoming the first candy in space or providing people and pets with food they love. We’ll continue innovating to meet Americans’ changing needs and shape the future of consumer goods for generations to come.
What we’re doing today
Investing in products made in America
94% of Mars products sold in the U.S. are made right here. To build on the $6 billion we've already invested, we're committing to another $2 billion into U.S. manufacturing through 2026.
Growing resilience for farmers, families and the future
At Mars, we know that every action we take to support the raw ingredients used in our product — like peanuts and rice — ripples through our supply chain and can lead to big impacts.
Creating A BETTER WORLD FOR PETS
Mars believes pets make the world a better place, which is why we’re not only advancing pet nutrition but helping pets find homes and enabling U.S. communities to become more pet-friendly.
