Mars CEO Poul Weihrauch recently sat down with Expansión to share his thoughts on what makes Mars unique – including the company's approach to responsible growth and how it balances a portfolio of global and local jewels.
"It all comes down to our people," Weihrauch says. "For a global business with more than 150,000 Associates, the key is to enable and empower our Associates to be able to constantly innovate."
"I would say that what sets our company apart is not just what we do, but also how we do it. I would love to double the business, but what is more important is how we do it. We want to grow responsibly and generate long-term value. Like any company, we set measures to track our progress, however, unlike other companies, we focus on both traditional financial indicators and non-traditional criteria, such as environmental progress and trust."
