Mars Unveils First U.S. Corporate Campaign

Mars Unveils First U.S. Corporate Campaign Spotlighting Investments In American-Made Brands And Communities Across The U.S.

Have you ever wondered who’s behind your favorite snacks, meals, or pet products and services—or where and how they’re made? On October 13, Mars will launch its first-ever U.S. corporate advertising campaign “Mars Is Closer Than You Think” to shine a spotlight on how Mars — the company behind iconic brands like M&M’S®, PEDIGREE®, Royal Canin®, and Ben’s Original™ — has been making products we know and love right here in the United States for over a century. In the United States, Mars produces more than 40 brands and employ over 70,000 Associates who operate 38 factories in addition to veterinary clinics, labs and 16 regional offices.

Although millions of Americans enjoy our products every day, many don’t realize the connection to Mars, or how deeply rooted Mars is within their local community. This campaign serves as a friendly reminder that “Mars is closer than you think.” At its heart, the campaign celebrates the people, pets, places, and products that make Mars a vital part of American life.

Spotlighting Local Communities
While Mars has a significant presence across the country, we’re kicking off this campaign in five U.S. markets:
-    Topeka, KS – home of the Mars Halloween Headquarters since 2014;
-    Salt Lake City, UT – home to the company’s newest factory: a $240M Nature’s Bakery facility
-    Dayton, OH – Next-door to Lewisburg, where earlier this year the company opened its largest Royal Canin dry pet food facility globally;
-    Greater Nashville, TN – where Mars North American Pet Nutrition division is headquartered;
-    Chicago, IL – Home to Mars Global Snacking Headquarters;
-    Greater Washington, D.C – the home of Mars global headquarters in McLean, VA.

In these cities, consumers will see our story unfold through out-of-home (OOH) and print advertisements celebrating our local presence.
On a national level, the campaign will include social-first videos about Mars and its impact on American manufacturing, farming and supporting pets in the United States, alongside exclusive digital media partnerships, highlighting our positive impact in markets across the country.

“The U.S. market is not only a cornerstone of Mars growth; it embodies our commitment to innovation and quality. Across the country, we are dedicated to supporting communities where we operate, always driving forward our mission to use our incredible consumer brands to help create a better world for people, pets, and the planet,” says Anton Vincent, President, Mars Wrigley North America and Global Ice Cream – a division of Mars, Incorporated.

A Proud Legacy of American Manufacturing
This campaign also highlights Mars contributions to the U.S. economy. Earlier this year, Mars announced a $2 billion investment in American manufacturing through 2026, building on the $6 billion already invested over the past five years. And here’s a fun fact: 94% of Mars products sold in the U.S. are made right here, demonstrating our longstanding commitment to manufacturing where we operate.

Connecting Beloved Brands to Their Roots
As this campaign rolls out, we invite consumers to rediscover the company behind the snacks, meals, and pet care products and services they already love, and to see Mars as more than a brand but as an integral part of American life.
