TogetherCocoa foundation to be incorporated
McLean, Virginia (February 25 2026) — Mars Incorporated, Lindt & Sprüngli, Mondelēz International, Nestlé and The Hershey Company are pleased to announce the intention to incorporate the TogetherCocoa foundation.
The foundation will build on the existing efforts by individual companies to help close the living income gap for cocoa farming households in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana and will drive industry-wide collaborative action to help strengthen the resilience of the cocoa supply chain. The formation of the foundation is in its early stages, and more details will be shared as the initiative progresses.
We will continue engaging closely with the Governments of Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana, our supply chain partners, and the wider sector as the initiative develops.
We remain fully committed to our Cocoa for Generations strategy, which includes programs we have applied test-and-learn approaches to over the years such as the Women for Change, Livelihoods Ecosystem Advancement (LEAP) Program, Cocoa Yiedie and Advancing Cocoa Agroforestry Towards Income, Value, and Environmental Sustainability (ACTIVE) program to help address farmer household income and advance broader sustainability initiatives. These efforts will continue alongside our participation in the foundation to help ensure that cocoa farming communities and the supply chain remains resilient.
